West Smethwick Park will host a full day of community events on Sunday 14th June 2026, as two fundraising activities take place in support of Arrive Alive Charity.
The morning begins with the Community 5K and 10K Fun Run and Walk, open to all ages and abilities. Whether running, jogging or walking, everyone is welcome. Registration opens at 10:00am, with the 10K starting at 10:30am and the 5K at 10:45am. Under 18s must take part with a responsible adult. Sponsorship is encouraged to help raise vital funds.
This year marks the fourth year the run has taken place at the park in support of Arrive Alive Charity, continuing to grow each year thanks to strong local backing.
From 10:00am, the Summer Fayre and Car Boot will also be taking place, offering a family day out with free entry. Visitors can enjoy a range of stalls and car boot sellers, ice cream and street food, inflatables and tombola, handmade gifts and live entertainment throughout the day.
The event is being supported by Friends of West Smethwick Park, a dedicated community group that works to enhance, protect and promote the park for local residents. Their ongoing efforts help ensure the park remains a welcoming and well used green space at the heart of the community.
Car boot pitches are £10 per car and stalls are £15, with set up from 8:30am. Advance booking is required. To book a stall or pitch, contact wsp_pavillion@sandwell.gov.uk or call 0333 185 2229.
Arrive Alive Charity provides voluntary operated vehicles for community first responders who attend emergency 999 calls, delivering immediate lifesaving care in the crucial minutes before ambulance crews arrive. Funds raised from both events will directly support the lifesaving work of the charity.
Debbie Roscoe, Founder of Arrive Alive Charity, said:
“We are incredibly proud to be bringing the run back to West Smethwick Park for the fourth year. The support from our local community and the Friends of the Park has been amazing. Every person who signs up, donates or comes along on the day is helping us continue providing lifesaving response when people need it most.”
